How We Drive Systemic Change
Our approach is simple. We focus on finding and funding outstanding female innovators, strengthening the ecosystem that supports them, and collaborating and partnering with like-minded organizations and individuals.
How We Fund
We fund and support for-profit and non-profit entities through our investment arm and Donor-Advised Fund (DAF). Any earnings are returned to the fund for re-investment.
Catalytic, impact-first venture capital
We seek to help close the significant funding gap for women in the early stage investment landscape in the U.S.A., Latin America, and Africa. We back impact-focused early-stage women-owned startups through equity and debt, aiming to address the “missing middle” funding that too often stifles their growth.
Our approach utilizes venture capital philanthropy as a risk-tolerant, impact-first method to support solutions overlooked by the market, providing patient, catalytic, and working capital that meets the founder where she is and assists in de-risking investments for co-investors and/or follow-on investors.
Limited Partnerships
We are also a fund of funds that provides seed, working and bridge capital to first-time and small female fund managers, focusing on helping them get to the next stage.
Grants
We provide grants to start-ups where they can be catalytic, and to non-profit organizations and other entities engaged in research, advocacy, and data collection to make the needs of women more visible. This includes support for gender-focused organizations, entrepreneurship, and leadership initiatives, research and data collection on issues that particularly affect women.
